Neer Gaddu Waterfall

Neer Gaddu Waterfall
The Starting.

Neer Gaddu Waterfall is a Natural Waterfall situated in the Himalayan Town of Rishikesh.
It is located around 4 kilometres from Laxman Jhula, and around 6 kilometres from the Rishikesh Main Market.


The Best Part about the Waterfall is that you have to make an Effort to Reach it, as it is around 2 kilometres uphill from its Ticketing Spot.
You have to Trek around 2 kilometres from the spot, and then, can reap your Effort.

The Entrance fee to the Waterfall is as follows :-

People Below the Age of 12 Rs. 20
People Above the Age of 12 Rs. 30.

The first Bathing Spot is around 1 kilometre from the Ticketing Spot, and can be reached via Foot/Wheels.

The Second Bathing Spot, is around 2 kilometres from the Ticketing Spot, and around 1 kilometre from the First Bathing Spot, but can only be reached via Foot.
(Trust us, it is worth your Effort).

Basic Necessities like Food, Water etc are available at both the Bathing Spots.

Rishikesh Inside interviewed a Food Seller on the Second Bathing Spot, and found out about him.

Name- Mr. Birendra Singh.
Sells - Maggi Noodles, Tea, Biscuits, Mineral Water, Different types of Eggs(Omlette's, French Toasts, Sunny Side up etc), Chips and Cigarettes.

He lives approximately 20 minutes uphill from the secong bathing spot, and commutes everyday on foot with big baskets and bags.
He has to go 2 kilometres downhill for purchasing all the items, and then comes back up to sell them everyday.

While trekking, the scenic Beauty is to die for, as it is Marvellous.

Jumpin Heights is India's First Bungee Jumping, Flying Fox and Giant Swing Facility and unravels India's First Extreme Adventure Zone in the mystic land of Rishikesh, presenting you with a Triple Threat Experience to all those yearning to challenge their Guts!


The Story behind it was set far away, in New Zealand, when Mr. Nigam was Vacationing there, and found out about Bungee Jumping amidst the Peaceful Land.
He was so overwhelmed with the experience, that he set a whole new Adventure in his mind of setting up and providing the same adventure to all of India.
It took around 3 years for the Setting up and Official Government Licensing of Jumpin Heights, and it finally started up in June, 2010.

Jumpin Heights provides the World with 3 Breathtaking Experiences :-

  • Giant Swing.

Bungee Jumping Details :-

India's first fixed platform Bungee.
A Cantilever platform built over a rocky cliff overlooking a rocky river Hall.
Jump with rubber chords tied to your ankle and feel the adrenaline rush like never before.
Jump Height - 83 Metres.
It has been designed by David Allardice of New Zealand, with Jump masters flown in from NZ to operate the Bungee.

Flying Fox Details :-

Asia's Longest Flying Fox.
Jump Platform: 120 metres high, Length: 1km.
Designed by Ron Cranston of NZ.

You are harnessed to the wire and on release by Gravity roll down the wire upto 7 metres above the river level and then going up. Finally returning & settling down at the lowest point. Accelerate unto speeds of 160 km/ph. Feel the air gushing past. You are pulled back to the launch platform by a retrieval mechanism.

Giant Swing Details :-

India's first Giant Swing from a fixed platform.
Jump Height: 83 metres. 
Designed by: David Allardice of NZ (Operated by Jump Masters of NZ)

Jump from the same Bungee Platform. You are fitted with a seat & chest harness which is connected to the fixed wire ropes. On Jumping, after an initial Free Fall, the ropes smoothly swing you like a Pendulum. You need Guts to jump, but the Experience is Worth it, "EXHILARATING".
