Ganga Kayak Festival-2014



Hello Everyone!

We at Rishikesh Inside, Welcome you to The 2nd Annual Ganga Kayak Festival, 2014!




The Ganga Kayak Festival, is a Competing Platform for Kayakers, held in Rishikesh, India, Annually. 

It was held from March 5th to 6th, 2014.

The Compulsory Norm for Participating in this Outrageous Festival is that, you need to Be a Kayaker, and that's it!
No matter You're Old or Young, No matter you're a Guy or a Gal, No matter you're an Indian or a Tourist, you can easily Participate in the Competition.
"You Just Need to be a Kayaker"!




The Ganga Kayak Festival is the Brainchild of Bhupendra Singh Rana a.k.a Bhupi, India's Best Kayaker.
He has been named, "KAYAKING", and is the First Indian Kayaker who has been sponsored by an International Brand, NRS.
He is the First Indian Athlete who has competed in the Adidas Sickline Extreme Kayaking World Championship held in Austria, in 2012.



Bhupi loves Kayaking, and dreamt of Hosting a Kayaking Championship in India, so that his fellow Kayakers could have a Chance to Showcase their Talents on a Competitive Level.

He has also Kayaked in many Adrenaline Raged Rivers in the World.



The Ganga Kayak Festival was hosted for the First time in February, 2013.
This is its Second Year Running.

The Festival was held in Phool Chatti, which is located around 15 kilometres from Laxman Jhula.

43 Professionals, 26 Beginners and 4 Women, from 5 Different Countries (Canada, Norway, England, Nepal & India).
The Biggest Seal Launch Ramp in India!

The Entry Fee for the Competitions were as follows :-

  • For Professionals-Sprint + Boater Cross = Rs. 1500 (Inclusive of Lunch, Coffee/Tea, Event T-Shirt, etc)
  • For Beginners & Girls-Sprint + Boater Cross = Rs. 500 (Inclusive of Lunch, Tea/Coffee, Event T-Shirt, etc).
