The reason for blogging about Rishikesh is because all the people/tourists who visit Rishikesh just visit it because of their Religious Beliefs.
As you may have heard, Rishikesh is the Gateway to the Four Pilgrimages, (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri) (The Big Four).
People only think of visiting Rishikesh so as to reach these four destinations, (The Religious Belief of visiting these places is to attain ,"Moksha" a.k.a Nirvana), but , we at Rishikesh Inside believe that there is much more to Rishikesh than Temples, White Water River Rafting and Yoga.
Rishikesh has a wide range of varieties for the Enlightenment of your Inner being and for the Exhaustion of that Adventurous Flame that has been burning inside your Mind and Heart.

Rishikesh is also known as "The Yoga Capital of the World", owing to a numerous amount of Yoga Centres and Institutions which attract millions of tourists worldwide.


Rishikesh is located in the foothills of the "Himalayan" Range, in the state of Uttarakhand, India (Northern India).
The Temperature in Rishikesh remains around 30-35 degree celsius in the Summers, while in the Winters, it falls down to 10-15 degree celsius.

As per provisional data of 2011 census, Rishikesh had a population of 102,138, out of which males were 54,466 and females were 47,672. The literacy rate was 86.86 per cent compared to national average of 74.04%. Rishikesh has an average Elevation of 372 metres (1,745 feet above sea level).

Rishikesh is a Town adjoining the holy city of "Haridwar". which is approximately 24 kilometres from Rishikesh.
Rishikesh also adjoins the Capital of Uttarakhand, which is "Dehradun", which is approximately 45 kilometres.
